Shamim Mahmud, Class 5

Kalikapur Government Primary School

Shamim and his older brother live in a small village of Panchagarh with their aunt and grandparents. His father passed away in a car accident when he was a baby, while his mother left soon afterwards and does not keep in touch. His grandmother, Jarina, takes care of them and depends on his grandfather, who works as a shopkeeper to provide for the family.

Dakkhin Bhatiapara Government Primary School

Mahim and his three siblings live in a small village of Panchagarh with their mother. His father passed away from a stroke when he was a baby, leaving his mother to take care of them by herself. His mother, Motiara, along with the help of his oldest sibling, work as day laborers to provide for the family.

Samer Danga Government Primary School

Sohag lives in a small village of Panchagarh with his aunt and uncle. His mother passed away during his birth, while his father left to start a new family soon afterwards. His aunt, Somela, takes care of him and depends on his uncle, who drives a rickshaw in Dhaka city to provide for them.

Ayesha Siddika, Class 2

Guwagram 2 Government Primary School

Ayesha lives in a small village of Panchagarh with her grandparents and father. Her father is mentally challenged from birth and is unable to work, while her mother left them recently to start a new family. Her grandmother, Morgina, looks after her and depends on her grandfather, who drives a van to provide for the family.

Pachpir Government Primary School

Manik and his older brother live in a small village of Panchagarh with their grandmother. His mother passed away from an undiagnosed illness recently, while his father left to start a new family soon afterwards. His grandmother, Shanti, takes care of them and works on fields as a day laborer to provide for the family.

Shiuli Rani, Class 4

Pachpir Government Primary School

Shiuli and her older sister live in a small village of Panchagarh with their parents and grandparents. Her father is physically disabled as he was born with a deformed leg and is unable to work. Her mother, Promila, takes care of them and works on fields as a day laborer to provide for the family.

Adiba Islam Rodoshi, Class 3

Boguladangi Government Primary School

Adiba and her older brother live in a small village of Panchagarh with their grandparents. Her father passed away from an undiagnosed illness when she was a baby, while her mother left soon afterwards and does not keep in touch. Her grandmother, Roshida, takes care of them and depends on her grandfather, who works on fields as a day laborer to provide for the family.

Bakdokra 1 Government Primary School

Rashed lives in a small village of Panchagarh with his grandparents. His father passed away from natural causes when he was a baby, while his mother passed away a few years later, after leaving to start a new family. His grandmother, Khaleda, takes care of him and works as a farmer raising poultry to provide for them.

Yasmin lives in a small village of Panchagarh with her grandmother. Her parents separated when she was a baby and her father does not keep in touch, while her mother left to start a new family soon afterwards. Her grandmother, Kulsum, takes care of her and works in nearby houses to provide for the family.

Dolua-Latifgochh Government Primary School

Dipa lives in a small village of Panchagarh with her grandmother and uncle. Her mother passed away from cancer when she was a baby, while her father left soon afterwards to start a new family. Her grandmother, Uzzni, takes care of her and depends on her uncle, who works as a bike mechanic to provide for them.

Asha lives in a small village of Panchagarh with her mother. Her father passed away from a stroke recently, leaving her mother to take care of her by herself. Her mother, Santi, works on fields as a day laborer to provide for the family.

Midula and her older sister live in a small village of Panchagarh with their mother. Her father passed away from a stroke when she was a baby, leaving her mother to take care of them by herself. Her mother, Morsheda, works in a nearby clinic to provide for the family.

Only students who are currently enrolled in Government Primary Schools and fall under any
of the following criteria are eligible to apply
for scholarships

Disabled Father

Student's father is physically unable to work

Single Mother

Student's father is deceased or has abandoned the family

Orphan

Both parents are deceased or have abandoned the child
