Joy Chandra, Class 5

Bamonhat Government Primary School

Joy and his two siblings live in a small village of Panchagarh with their grandparents, aunt and uncle. His mother passed away from an undiagnosed illness recently, while his father left to start a new family soon afterwards. His grandmother, Anna, takes care of them and depends on the donations of extended family members to provide for them financially.

Halhalia Government Primary School

Bithi lives in a small village of Nilphamari with her maternal grandparents and uncle. Her mother passed away from an undiagnosed illness recently, while her father left to start a new family and does not keep in touch. Her grandmother takes care of her and depends on her uncle, Ramzan, who drives an auto-van to support the family.

Rotna Akter, Class 5

Hazinagar Government Primary School

Rotna and her three siblings live in a small village of Panchagarh with their parents. Her father is physically disabled as he was born with deformed legs and is unable to work. Her mother, Parvin, takes care of them and works on fields as a day laborer to provide for the family.

Fahim lives in a small village of Panchagarh with his parents. His father is mentally challenged from birth and unable to work. His mother, Sazada, takes care of him and works in nearby houses to provide for the family.

Farhan lives in a small village of Panchagarh with his mother and grandparents. His father left him recently and does not keep in touch. His mother, Feroza, takes care of him and depends on his grandfather, who works as a rice farmer to provide for the family.

Nuri and her older sister live in a small village of Panchagarh with their grandparents, aunt and uncle. Her parents separated recently and her father does not keep in touch, while her mother left to start a new family. Her grandmother, Rasida, takes care of them and depends on her grandfather, who works on farms as a day laborer to provide for the family.

Boiragigochh Government Primary School

Anicha lives in a small village of Panchagarh with her grandparents. Her parents separated when she was a baby and her father does not keep in touch, while her mother left to start a new family. Her grandfather, Jomir, takes care of her and drives a van to provide for the family.

Scholarship Eligibility

Only students who are currently enrolled in Government Primary Schools and fall under any
of the following criteria are eligible to apply
for scholarships

Disabled Father

Student's father is physically unable to work

Single Mother

Student's father is deceased or has abandoned the family

Orphan

Both parents are deceased or have abandoned the child
